Paradigm Shift

Paradigm shift is a change in the way you look at things.  It is a change of perspective.  The shift may uproot your previous understanding of the reality of the matter in question.

Those who pack away from a needed paradigm shift are self-limiting.  Their internal (and possibly subliminal) choices restrict them from considering what they currently think to be true.

For example, the view that mathematics is too complex to learn is self-restricting.  Regardless of whether or not it is complex, to learn it can be fun and enjoyable, with the right point of view.  Sometimes, it we need to view mathematics from the perspective of a perspective of an application.

Such an example is to explore how far a car is moving after accelerating for 5 seconds.  The example gives a concrete framework on which to put together the math.

Changing the perspective of math to the application of it is a change of paradigm, a change of viewpoint.
